I'm using
genforum.genealogy.com/nc/---then the particular county I want (Buncombe, Haywood, Jackson, Transylvania) and then just scrolling thru the Census, Marriage, Wills, etc.
Also Rootswed.com and the same thing.
You can request "surname" Gibson or Bradley and get postings particular for that name.
I'm not real good at this yet, but there are lots of people who are willing to help.
Send me a direct e-mail with your return address and I will be glad to share with you as I discover other ways and means.
I live in Bushnell.
Also I just got back from Waynesville where I was able to spend a litte time at the Public Library. They have a special "NC" room which did in fact help me. You can find that on the county listing Haywood, the room was not large, but I could have spent days there. Soon, Marilyn
