Thanks for your reply. I think that the Nathan b.19 April 1787 was a little early for the Nathan I am looking for, but it could be his dad,if not that, I am sure they are kin. I am just getting started trying to trace my ggrandfathers parents and I was told, but have not seen it in writing, that his parents were Nathan and Lucretia. I think it was in a census of 1870. Lucretia remarried a man named Coleman Jackson and I am kind of lost from there. I know that they lived in Haywood co. and at some point lived in Swain Co. Thanks for all your help.
