I am the g-g-grandson of Thomas Walton Mitchell, who married Nancy Jane Shelton.
Their daughter was Minnie Mae Mitchell (my g-grandmother), who was the sister of Lela Belle Mitchell Sample (married to Clyde Sample). I think you and I are related. :)
Anyway - I know that a Martha Sample (sister of Thomas Walton Mitchell) is the daughter of Isaiah Mitchell and Hannah (maiden name unknown). Martha was born in 1835. Unfortunately, this is all the info. I have on her. I'm pretty sure it's the same Martha you are researching because I know that Thomas Mitchell was birb in Haywood County.
