Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

My wife is desended from William Lafayette Watson born in Haywood County NC 1829-1830, his father W. L. Watson (possibly William Lafayette also) was born in Ireland DOB unk. I don't know if this ties into your line or not but quite possibly could and if it doesn't it might give you a tie to Ireland for your ancestors.
