Bev, thank you for replying. I DID get info from Wesley a few years ago, but LOST ALLof it when my computer was killed by a brownout. I'm wondering if Elisha's sister (Elizabeth) was my g-g-grandmother's mother. Elisha's sister is too old to be my g-g-grandmother, Elizabeth (Phillips) Jordan.Maybe she was the mother of my g-g-grandmother. I cannot find my g-g-grandmother birthplace or who her parents were. A few years ago, an elderly cousin who actually knew her said that she was called "Lou". I used to subscribe to Ancestry. All I found there were census reports, showing her as head of household (never a mention of her husband, Tom Jordan), that she was born in SC 1810 or 1811, and her children's names. Do you have any info Elisha's siblings? I sure hope you find Elisha's home! That would be great. Please give me directions if you do. I have dreamed of going to TN and NC to see my ancestors' homes. Sewell lived near Asheville when he was in seminary. I found the g-g-grandson of Sewell. One of Sewell's houses is still standing, as are chapels he built. I know where my Elizabeth and her daughter are buried. Karlene
