The book Smoke on the Mountain by Crow is about William Holland Thomas. If you are talking about the Son of William Thomas and Tempence Colvert. He was adopted by Cherokee Chief and was given the name Little Will. He (William Holland Thomas ) became the only white Cherokee chief. He played A big part in Civil War. Helen helenc@hovac.com
