Gates County Marriage Records 1782-1868 by Frances Ingmire does not show Esther Wood married to a Blades but it does show Esther Wood married Dempsey Knight 9-28-1825. The 1850 Gates County Census shows Dempsey and Esther Knight. Dempsey is 75 and Esther is 34. Esther's age must be incorrect as according to that she would have been married at age 9 which is unlikely. There are seven children listed in the census: John 21, Thomas J. 18, William W. 17, Hester Ann 12, Martha 42 (who was she?) Robert H. 5, and leonard M. 1. Hope this is the one you are looking for as this is all it shows on Esther Wood.
