Hello Cathy,

I've been looking for the same information for years and just today stumbled across the following through a Google search:

Established in 1896, the Tinsley Military Institute operated for several years in the early-twentieth century in Salem on the premises of the second Salem Boys' School at the corner of Church and Bank streets. The building today is used by the Moravian Church.

My great-grandfather John Wesley Tinsley was the headmaster.

Hope this is helpful to you!

Deborah
