Ross and Meredith Family Connection?

Warning, this very confusing!
Iím trying to find the connections between the Ross and Meredith families in the late 1700s, early 1800s.
Specifically, I need information on descendants of Elisha Meredith (b. 1771, died 1848) who married Sarah (Crews?). I believe they are possibly the parents of my ancestor and their son wouldíve married a Lydia, maiden name unknown, probably before 1823. Iím also trying to link my Ross family with this family. John Ross (b. 1788, d. 1857) married Jane Meredith (b. ~1790, died after 1850). Their son Harmon Ross (b. 1820, died 1864, I believe in Civil War) married Phebe G. Meredith (b. 1823, died 1910), daughter of Lydia and above unknown Meredith. Elisha Meredithís widow, Sarah, and her children are living beside John and Jane Ross in the 1850 census. I believe there are connections here but Iím missing key names to be able to link them. I know John and Jane Ross are buried in Kernersville at the Main Street Methodist Cemetery.
