MICHAEL....
I have nothing beyond Thomas Hilton, b. 4 June 1786 Pittsylvania County, VA m. Martha Oakes. He died 4 February 1824 in the Belews Creek area of Stokes Co. NC He had six children, one of which was William H. Hilton.(1810--1891) (However William H. Hilton never married, so that ends his line. My ancestress is Thomas' daughter, Nancy Hilton who married Stephen Flynt.) And there my Hilton line ends.
Thomas, Martha and William H. are buried in an old abandoned graveyard in the woods off N.C State road #158, near Vance Road in Guilford County, NC.
This probably will be of no use to you. However, if anyone needs the children of Thomas, I will be glad to respond.
Note: Forsyth was formed from Stokes Co. in 1849. Guilford was formed from Rowan in 1770 Often, when a family lived near a border of one of these three counties and the dates changed the location of the "homestead", it gets confusing.
