Halton, Helton, Hilton, need help

We are looking for any clues of the origins of a Native American Family. The name Beecham appears in our family and there is one Beecham Haltom and his mulatto recorded in the Moravian diaries.

There are refrences of a William Hilton and Thomas Hilton both in the early history of Forsyth co. We know by our DNA that our original Indian, Hilton, took an Englishmans name and our oral tradition is that he married a Hilton girl. A feat quite uncommon for those days in the early 1700's.

Our line of Hiltons, all bear the distinctive markings of Native Americans in the South Eastern United States for 5,000 years. In our own family history our Hiltons became Heltons during the Civil War era. We also have a DNA site that Helton and Hiltons both have participated in to check their heritage. Any Help from all sources of tax records, wills, Moravians sources or others would be greatly appreciated to unravel this mystery.,

Mike Helton
