War Between The States Pension Applicant of Forsyth Co. NC: L.J. Crutchfield, widow of Nathan Crutchfield, Co---21st Regiment

Crutchfield, N.Y., pvt. age 20, enlisted May 30, 1861, Stokes Co. NC, also resided there, died Richmond Va. in Jan/Feb 1862 of disease. co. G 21st NC Troops.

1880 census Sauratown, Stokes Co. NC
Cruchfield, Jane widow 35 keeping house
Cruchfield, Thiny dau single 22
Cruchfield, Rufus W. son single 18 farm laborer
Cruchfield, James son single 21 farm laborer
All white all BNC

1880 census Forsyth Co. NC the W. Crutchfield family listed. He appears to be Wilson C. Crutchfield with wife Loutitia, both of Chatham Co. NC. Info available at LDS FamiilySearch 1880 census.
