Yes I did have the wrong Samuel and Solomon Williams. Since my original posting I have learned what you just stated. Samuel Swearingen Jr, according to Edgecombe Co. deed records had daughters who married a Samuel Williams and Solomon Williams respectively. Aside from the Samuel and Solomon who were brothers that you mentioned I have found records of another Samuel and Solomon but these two were not brothers. I now believe the Samuel I am searching for is the son of Samuel Williams whose will is dated 1748 in Edgecombe Co and who names wife Jane and sons Sampson, Samuel, Jacob, William, and George and daughter Creese. I believe Solomon to be the brother mentioned in Elisha Williams' will dated 1755 in Edgecombe Co. which also named brothers George, Joshua, John, and Daniel. Do you have any information on either of these two Williams families?
