I am seeking information about Courtney Bell, wife of Nathan Jones. Courtney was the daughter of either Thomas Bell, who died in Edgecombe Co in 1763, or of Brittain Bell, son of Thomas Bell. I would like to view the originals of:
1. Will of Thomas Bell (8 June 1761 July Ct 1763)
2. A book entitled "Early Families of Edgecombe County, North Carolina, Its Past and Present. North Carolina, USA: The Tarboro Society for Genealogy and Biography, 1881. Compiled by the Ladies' Tarboro, NC Genealogy and Library Association for the Preservation, Dissemination and Exultation of the History of Edgecombe Co., NC."
Various reports on the Thomas Bell will leave an uncertainty whether "Cortne" was his daughter or granddaughter.
The "Early Families" book is referenced on Ancestry.com, but there is not sufficient detail to tell the context of the reference to relationship of Courtney Bell to Brittain or Thomas.
