I'm still searching (in vain!) for information on William Ruffin Davis. He was born around 1823 possibly in Granville County, NC. He is buried in Granville County. He married a Lucinda Davis. I don't know if Davis was her maiden name. Perhaps she was a cousin.

I'm told this family may have lived in Durham County.

They had at least 5 children. One of whom was Sidney Irvin Davis, b. May 1860 and d. March 1944.

I'd love to correspond with anyone having information on these folks.
