Searching for any info on Mary Amanda BUTLER HENDERSON who
died in 1915 in Durham County. She was the daughter of Elijah
BUTLER. Mary Amanda was married to Jesse R HENDERSON in
Duplin County, and he died in the Civil War. Mary Amanda and
children, and Elijah, were listed in the 1870 Cumberland Co NC
census, but evidently moved to Durham in the 1880s. Mary Amanda owned a boarding house in what is probably now East
Durham. Any info, hints, or good guesses welcome.
