Bishop's of Duplin North Carolina

Iím trying to locate anything related to the Bishopís of Duplin County, North Carolina. I have been stuck on my great-great-grandfather Marshal(l) H Bishop. Iím hoping something can provide some details. Iíve recently came across info that Marshal could have been from Duplin County, NC. One possibility is that he is the son on Robert and Sarah Kennedy Bishop of Duplin, North Carolina. The person I got this from had no proof, but had a hunch. Here is what I know:
Marshal H Bishop
B 20 Oct 1824 North Carolina
D 10 Sep 1894 Terrell County, Georgia

Married Sarah E ________ sometime between 1850 and 1852
B 22 Nov 1834 GA
D 11 Dec 1882 Terrell County, Georgia

Marshall first shows up on 1860 Quitman Co., GA census as a lodger.

1870 census (Terrell Co.,GA) shows married to Sarah E and 5 children (1 being born in Alabama).

1880 census (Terrell Co.,GA) shows Marshallís parents being born in North Carolina.

Robert Bishop born in NC appears on 1860 census in Terrell Co. in household of JA Bishop (NC). Was JA Robert Bishopís son? Is this the same Robert as mentioned above ?

Another connection is the Marshal named a daughter Molsie (Molsey). Robert also had a daughter named Molsey. Marshal also named a son Robert and a daughter Sarah. Could this be to honor his parents?

Thanks for any help. Iíve been hammering on this brick wall for awhile!
