John B. Carter, Duplin Co., NC to Madison Co., FL - 1850's

John Carter, wife Mary and 4 children, Alex, Jones, William and Mary, were living in the southern section of Duplin County in 1850. By 1860, they had relocated to Madison County, FL.

I am trying to determine the parents of John and Mary Carter. Both were born in NC ca. 1825 and married before 1843. They may or may not have been in DuplinCo in 1840. Mary's surname may have been Jones as a son was given that name.

Any info or leads would be appreciated.
