I am looking for information about my 4th great grandparents
Jesse R. Brock b abt 1810
He married Depsey/Debsey Berry (born @ 12/27/1804 in NC) June 30 1834 in Hayward county NC
looks like he bought 170 acres of land in 11th district of Cherokee cty NC in 1838 (did this became Union county GA?)
Then they were in Union county GA in 1840 & 1850 census (I believe they came to Georgia immediately after marrying)
They were in Fannin county Ga in 1860
Children of Jesse & Depsey Brock
Payton/Patton b 1835
James G. Sr. b 1836 [my ancestor who had children Depsey, William (who was apparently renamed James G after his dad died in the civil war), Joseph and Payton/Patton]
Georgia Ann b 1839, Louisa b 1842, Jesse b 1844, John b 1841
Who were Jesse R. Brocks parents?
Maybe
On the 1810 nc census
Jesse Brock in jones county nc
Jesse Brock jr in duplin county nc
I haven’t researched these guys - anybody know about them?
Then there is the Elizabeth Justice sister in law (b1815 in NC) who was living with Depsey in the 1880 Fannin county GA census. Was Elizabeth Jesse’s sister? Is there record of a Brock/Justice marriage? Or was Depsey married to a Berry before she married Jesse and Elizabeth was her first husband’s sister?
HELP!!! I can’t offer to share anything because other than some descendants this is all I know!
