Some Sutton Deeds in Duplin Co., NC

Hi All, this was sent to the Duplin Co., Mailing list back in 2000, i did not know how to copy/ paste at that time :-), so i am abstracting some of the mail i sent .
hope this helps someone . i have some Hines that married into the Sutton line.

Book 1A, page 405 Lewis Barnes of Duplin Co., to Bryan Whitfield of Dobbs Co., 14 Oct 1786, for 100 pounds specie 1, 276A on Burncoat Swamp in 5 tracts (1) 640A granted to Antony Williams by patent; (2) 156A joining the 1st 640A,
by patent granted to sd. Barnes, adj. & between the lands of Lewis Smith, Maxwell & Thomas Shelton & white Oak Swamp; (3) 200A granted by patent to sd. Barnes on the head of Burncoat & Panther Branches in & between the old Mill
Branch, Samuel Jones corner, Jones Boyets corner,Montford's & Maxwell's lines; (4) 100A patented to JOSEPH SUTTON on the NS of Burncoat in & between the mouth of prescoat's Branch & Robert Beveraly line (5) 180A patented to James Outlaw lying on the NS of Burncoat Swamp in & between Precoat's Branch, JOSEPH SUTTON'S line.

2 tracts to wit: (1) 150A beg. at a white oak joining Humphry Williams, JOSEPH SUTTON'S line in SUTTON'S branch; (2) 125a beg. at a lightwood post, the last corner of the 1st place, joining Benjamin Thompson, Solomon Carter,
