My 3g grandfather, William Robert New had 2 brothers who m. 2 Newton Sisters. (George Gilbert New m. Tabitha Newton, James Boney New m. Mary Azzora New) Their father was Joshua Newton b. 1772 Duplin NC, d. 1844 Tx. Joshua's father was Jacob Newton (I had b. abt. 1772 Duplin, d. abt. 1782). Joshua's father ws Abraham Jr. b. abt. 1715 Mass d. aft. 1779 where was with sons in Duplin Co NC.
My information is no where near complete. I did not personally perform the research. I do not have Frederick listed. I know the NEW family lived along Goshen Swamp. In early records, this area seems to have been in New Hanover Co.
