Looking for living descendants of Street Hayes 'Doke' Cannady or his sisters.

I have been looking for what happened to my great-great grandmother's half-sister, Matilda Aldridge after her marriage to Robert Kennedy in 1884 in Stanly County for over a year. I discovered they moved first to the Litaker Community in Rowan County and then on to Davie County where they stayed and that the spelling of their names had changed to Cannaday or Cannidy. They had the following children: Streeter Hayes 'Doke' Canady, Eliza or Lizzie who married Lewis Moore, Rebecca 'Bessie' Walters, Dora 'Dorey' who married George Walters, and Odessa b 1890, spouse unknown.

Streeter H "Doke" Canady had one son, Alvin T Canady who died in 2006, and the following daughters:Elizabeth Matilda, Willie Lee, Naomi, who married a Spratley and passed in 2003, Alice Lee, who may still be living, Agnes E who married a Thomas, Doris Elmira, who moved to Durham, and Margaret. The oldest sister Catherine, died as an infant.

I have part of their family tree, that I am certain they do not know about traced back into the mid 1750's. These families probably consider themselves, or are, African-American. They will most likely be surprised about the origins of Robert (Bob) Kennedy/Canaday and Matilda 'Tildie' Aldridge Kennedy/Canaday.
