Asa or Edward Iley Jones b Jerusalem

My ancestor, Asa Iley Jones, was born somewhere in NC about 1849. On one census report, he says his Father was born in Jerusalem and on another, NC.

His Father may have been Joseph, Walter, Edward or Arthur, David based on the names of his sons. The middle name of Iley has been passed down through generations so there has to be come connection.

Asa settled in MS (around 1888) and became a Missionary Baptist Preacher. I've been told that his family were wealthy from lumbering, but don't know if they got our paternal line mixed up with the maternal line.
