Jerimiah Simmons (Jerry) appears in the 1840 and 1850 census of Davie county. He seems to have sold his land in 1856. I am coming to the area June 14 to look for his grave, probate, marriage, and land records. Does the library at Mocksville have some of these items printed or on microfilm or do I have to go to the court house? I do know to go to Rowan for the land purchase records...again is the library better or the courthouse?
