I will have to find my notes as I did not want to enter the info on John into FTM and create any ill will since no one in the family seemed to be looking at him as a possible father to Harrison. I think his birth date would have been 1797 (maybe age 54) so he would fit well as a spouse to Polly. Look at the Davie 1850 census online and I think he is listed there.
John Walker b. ~abt 1791 s/o Robert Walker ~1771 is the only one that I have that fits the age range and is not listed with a known wife. I do not have anything on this John. I found a listing on Robert's family after my last visit to Davie and have not put any real effort into his line.
Fredrick Saunders had proposed that the Polly in this will is Harrison's mother, but the dates don't fit. 7-20-1843 prb 2-1846 Wife: Sally Sons: Jacob, John, William Daus: Elizabeth and Jinsey Saunders. Other children: Adam, James, Susan Vestal, Polly Walker. Exrs: Jacob Sheek, William Saunders. Wit: F.A. Ward, Thomas Smith. This one's John Walker would have been about Harrison's age.
Aliene is the g-daughter of Robert Lee Walker. Her brother, Ed, lives on 601 and is very pleasant to speak with.
