Crouse/Holloway connections

have spent years looking for the family of my gg grandfather, Richard Crouse. I looked mostly in Ashe, Wilkes and Alleghany Counties. Richard and his wife, Jane/Jennie Holloway lived in Ashe county in 1850 and then migrated to Tazewell Co. VA before 1860. I have Richard's death certificate which says his parents were Jocob and Susan Crouse. I have never been able to locate a Susan attached to a Jacob. Lots of dicussion with fellow Crouse researcher......lots of guess work. I figure there must have been a Susan 'cause I'm here! I am widening my circle. Anyone that thinks people didn't get around in the early days of this county have their heads in the sand. Any ideas will be appreciated. My e-mail is JCSuper1@aol.com

Thanks,

Bettie
