Nathan Hall is in a very brief family tree at which states that he was born in about 1790 in Franklin Co., NC, and died about 1830. This tree says that Nathan's father was John Hall and his mother was Nancy Kirby. That Nancy's parents were William & Sarah Kirby. This tree also states that Nathan Hall had a brother named William L. Hall, who moved to Indiana, married, and then died in Knox Co., Illinois, about 1855. BUT, another tree states that this Nathan Hall "died without issue," so that kills the idea of his being the father of John Hall. Not sure if this fits into your location or not but it might be worth pursuing.

I can go this weekend to the genealogy library in Salisbury, NC, and see what I can find for you. Give me a few days to get back with you please.
