Russell

Family notes done by my husband's grandmother, Ethel Harris Fisher, back in the early late 1920s and early 1930s listed the name as Ransom Wesley Jr. I figured that she was correct in that her father Roswell King Harris and Ransom, Jr. were brothers and you would think that he would know his brother's name. Ethel had been involved in the Harris family history as a member and finally an officer for both the DAR and UDC for NC.

Then a chart was sent to me that traced Jesse and Frankie through Ransom I to Ransom II and his children. The chart was made about 1918 by a grandson of Montford Harris, another brother to Ransom, Jr. He swears that his mother said the chart was absolutley correct. She also said that "Frankie Ward" was an illegimate child.

Bottom line, I don't know for certain which information is correct.

Nancy
