Would love to have copies of those old letters written by Ransom Harris. My husband's grandmother was Ethel Harris, daughter of Roswell King Harris. That line would be Roswell, Ransom Jr., Randsom Sr., Jesse Jr., Jesse Sr.

It becomes very confusing with the Jesse Sr's and Jr's, we may have to use Jesse I, Jesse II and Jesse III to keep everyone straight.

What information do you have on the parents of Frances "Frankie" Ward? I only have the name of her father as John Ward (abt 1734-1837). Yet, I have John Ward and Barbara White as the parents of Mary Ann Ward, who became the wife of Ransom Sr. My records show that Mary Ann's father was John Ward, Jr. Do you know how are these two Ward families related?
