I'm looking for information regarding Margaret Gallimore. Margaret was born in Davidson County, NC, 1834, the daughter of Jesse Gallimore and Ruth Wright.
For well over 60 years, it was believed that Margaret Gallimore married Corney/Kearney Forshee, of Davidson Co., NC. - no date of the marriage. Recent information found in death certificates posted on ancestry.com indicates Corney Forshee did marry a Margaret, but it was Margaret
BECK, not Gallimore. The death certificate below confirms the parents to be Daniel Beck and Elizabeth Tysinger.
In the 1860 census, Margaret Gallimore is listed as 24 years of age, still living at home with her parents. She was actually 26 at the time. No mental or physical impairment is noted in the census. No information about her from that point on.
