Have you seen the 1870 Census of Davidson County, NC, Yadkin Twp., page 17, family 137?

Hanes, Frank 20 M W Miller 1000 NC
, Callie 22 F W keeping house "
, Lewis 1 M W

This couple matches the ages of Franklin and Catherine Hanes of your post.

There is a Lewis Hanes buried at Good Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in Davidson County, NC.

Row 10, No. 9, Hanes, Lewis Feb. 23, 1869 - Sept. 1877, 8Y, 7M, 7D.

You cite the 1880 census of Franklin and Catherine Hanes.

Also buried at Good Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Row 22, No. 14, Hanes, Frank Mar. 7, 1850 - July 30, ___.

"Marriage Records of Davidson Co.,NC" list the marriage of H.[Henry] D. Hedrick and Catherine Hanes [d/o Wm. and Sarah Hill] on 4 April 1888.

I do not have the 1900 census or any later records of this family. I have used "Cemetery Records of Davidson County, NC" and so far I have not found burial records for Henry D. Hedrick or his wife Catherine Hill Hanes Hedrick.

Good luck in your research. My wife and I research her Shoaf and Hill families of Davidson County, NC.
