Ledford/McCurry, Hamby, Rich Fork, Abbott's Creek area

I am researching my ancestors who stayed in the now Davidson County area (then Rowan) until around 1800 before moving to Lincoln/Rutherford Counties area.

William Ledford died leaving a will in 1799 and was buried in an old cemetery near Abbott's Creek. I have the dates, but would like to know the exact name and location of this cemetery and a little about the church with which it was associated.

Also in the Ledford/McCurry (William and Abraham) deeds, Hamby Creek, second fork of Rich Creek, and Abbott's Creek are listed. I would like to pinpoint this area for a future visit.

An important question. How do you get there from here? We live in Sanford.

Thanks for any help in locating this church cemetery and property.

Jean
