Abstracts of Deed Book 11-14 of Rowan Co NC 1786-1797 by James W. Kluttz, has a map in the back of book. It shows Leonard as a branch off of Abbotts heading north from Lexington area. Just below and east of town called Welcome. It appears that Farmers Creek heads NW and Leonards heads NE off of Abbots. Hope this helps. Ginny Keefer
