In 1966 I was in the Navy stationed at Dam Neck, Virginia Beach, VA. In late June or early July of that year my girlfriend and I hitchhiked to Nag's Head for a weekend. Somewhere along the line I lost the $20 bill I'd borrowed to finance the outing. An elderly woman who ran a guest house gave us a room for a promise of mailing the cost of it when I got back to the base. I left my watch for security. I sent the money, she returned my watch.
I'm 60 years old now, trying to retrace some life history. I'm interested in learning the exact location of that guest house and the name of the proprietor. I suspect she was a widow. I vaguely recall walking up a hill. Our room was on the second floor. There might have been a porch the width of the front of the house and the place was well-shrubbed. Thanks!
