Earl & Carolyn,
You didn't give any dates for the WOODARDS or O'NEALS so I am not sure what information to send to you. These are not in my line but know how it is to what someone to throw light on a subject. Have you gone to the Currituck County Web site? Until 1921 (I think) Kitty Hawk and Collington (I think) was part of Currituck and if you are searching further back than that all of what you know as Dare Co. today would have been Currituck County, including Roanoak Island. Anyway enough jibber jabber. I looked into the Currituck Cemetery Book and found some THOMAS O'NEALS so I am going to send you all the O'NEALS in that particular cemetery. Colonial Beach(Olds Hill, in Currituck) which is close to the Bridge going to Dare Co. THOMAS P. O'NEAL Died Feb. 5, 1854 46 years old 8 months 2 days, Christopher A. O'Neal Died 10 August 1854 12 years 5 months 10 days, Nathan O'Neal Died March 21, 1852 Age 76 2 months 11 days. In the Newbern Cemetery, Powells Point(also near Dare Co.) Father W.H. O'Neal Feb. 21, 1834, Died July 7, 1910..Sarah E. O'Neal Wife of Wm H. O'Neal born March 25, 1843 Died Nov. 15, 1898...Mary S. O'Neal May 8, 1874 died Sept. 24, 1887...Nathan O'Neal Sept. 26, 1872 died Nov. 3, 1880 THOMAS W. O'NEAL May 15, 1860 died Oct. 12 1874..Sarah M. O'Neal Feb. 12, 1869 died Aug 4 1870...Another Cemetery Salinda Barco O'Neal Died Feb. 14, 1915..THOMAS LEROY O'NEAL Jan. 31, 1840 died Nov. 30, 1916. There is only one Haywood, Zeda buried in Currituck that can be found. I still suggest the Currituck Site if it is old dates, it has one the best sites to do research in, and it is loaded with records. Let me know if I can help you.
