Hi Susan,
I just spent 2 weeks on the Outerbanks. I visited many graveyards and libraries. There are a number of Gibbs buried on Ocrocoke(Caterat), Hateras (Dare), and in graveyards near the Swan Quarter area (Hyde)particularly near Englehard, Lake Landing. The Currituck Library at Barco has a super archive collection. Hope this helps you out.
