My late husband Justin Tune's grandmother's sister Margaret "Maggie" Cowell married Leonidas Rosser"Leon" White, Currituck Co.,N.C.
Their daughter Nellie Snowflake White married
Arthur Perry Tillett son of Josiah Tillett and Lavenia Baum.
Their children:
Lily Edna Tillett b Mar 20,1911
Leonest Leland Tillett b Aug 24,1913
Robert Macon Tillett b June 10,1916
Roscoe Tedrick Tillett b Dec 5,1919

On his Smith side of the family
Herman Cornelius Smith (b 1881)married Pattie Lee O'Neal
( b 1884), Curritcuk Co.,N.C.,daughter of Thomas "Tom" O'Neal and Canary Harris.

Don't know if these are related to your Tillett/O'Neals.
