In 1812 there was a deed made with property that bordered William Smith, John Watson, Campbell on Black River in Cumberland County, NC. Was this John Watson Campbell or John Watson & Campbell? I have a John Campbell who married a Kate (Catherine, Katherine, or Kathleen) Watson both supposedly born in NC. If this is two seperate people then it is possible that it could produce a marriage of Watson and Campbell. Any help would be appreciated. This information of the marriage came from the "Wheeler Cousins" book. A son John Watson Campbell was born of this marriage in 1822-1828 in NC.
