JOSIAH LOVE LS Which Bill of Sale Above Recited Was in court held for the county of Davidson July Term 1793. Proven by the Oath of JOHN BOYD a Subscribling Witness to be the Act and Deed of the sd. OLIVE SHAW JOHN RENTFRO and JOSIAH LOVE.. ANDREW EWING OLIVE SHAW is suppose to have been the widow of JOSEPH RENTFRO who was killed by Indians in 1780 at the Cumberland Settlement "Davidson CO., TN". OLIVE uses the name OLIVE SHAW in all of her transactions in settling the estate of JOSEPH RENTFRO and selling her own land in Davidson CO. Olive had moved to Livingston CO. KY by 1802. Does anyone know just which SHAW was OLIVE'S husband and was he a CUMBERLAND CO. NC SHAW? There was a DAVID SHAW appearing next to JOHN RENTFRO, 26-44, on the 1810 Livingston CO., KY census. This DAVID SHAW is living by himself, his age is 26-44 on the census. He was too young to be Olive's husband but John Rentfro could very well have been her son. Both John Rentfro and David Shaw appear as Witness on a deed where Olive Shaw is selling land in Davidson CO., TN. June 5, 1802 Julia Wright Molitz Notify Administrator about this message?
