Joel Willis Sr. bought land in Jones County GA. 22 Dec. 1820 from Jeremiah Warren.
My Warren's and the Willis's were related or close freinds in Craven County, N.C.
I have been working on Jeremiah Warren born Abt. 1778 in Craven County, N.C. the son of Abraham Warren Jr. & Ann. Marriage record for Jeremiah Warren to Elisabeth Cadenhead 1800 Oglethorpe, GA. in 1803 Abraham Warren is born, 1808 Jeremiah Warren is born, both born in GA. and both were in Dale County,& Coffee County AL. in the 1830-1860s.
Jeremiah Warren is listed in the 1820 Census of Jones County, GA. also was Joel Willis Sr.
In 1810 Craven County N.C. John Reel was appointed guardian of the Ward of Jeremiah Warren, and was settled in 1817. I believe this is Jeremiah Warren Sr.'s son that was born in 1808.
In 1805 Abraham Jr. dies, in his estate Ann his wife was the administer of his estate, there daughters are listed, one of the daughters listed was Nancy Warren Reel wife of John Reel, and one son Jeremiah Warren.
In 1810 Ann Warren's Will, the wife of Abraham Jr.
leaves land to her grandson Abraham Warren, I believe this is the one born in 1803, the son of Jeremiah Warren.
Also, there is a letter from Coffee County, AL. from Abraham Warren to the County Clerk of Craven County, N.C.
in his letter he said that Uncle John Reel was paid some money for Gaurdian in 1815-1817, and that he was owed some money but never claimed anything.
I am hopeing someone will have more information for me on this Jeremiah Warren and family.
