I am the GGGS of Joseph Bishop Jr. The records state he
was born in Craven Co., c. 1789.His parents must have died
when he was very young, and was possibly reared by relatives.
I believe they were of English Quaker persuasion I don't know when he came to Belmont Co., Ohio, but he married a N ancy
Smith in 1825, and had several children. I have their names in
the Bishop Bible.I believe they are buried in the Quaker
Section of Somerton Southern Cemetery in Belmont Co., Ohio
Maybe we can help each other, in this research
