Sherrie,
Hardy E. Royall is my great-grandfather. His daughter Adelaide married Algernon Stanford Noell on December 27, 1928. Their son Algernon Stanford Noell, Jr. was my father. He died on March 5, 2006. I just received the obituary for Lula Elizabeth Taylor, wife of Hardy Royall, from the New Bern Public Library. Her parents were Henry Taylor and Iredell Wade Taylor, both of New Bern. I also
found the Hardy's mother died around May 14, 1911 in Goldsboro, but I don't
have a name. I knew Margaret Royall, she married Gordon Poole when I knew her. Both Margaret and Adelaide graduated from Duke University. I have the bible that was given to Adelaide. My father and I also graduated from Duke University. I know very little about the Royalls. Adelaide died when my father was 10, and I didn't have much contact with the family since I grew up in Connecticut. Please contact me at matthewnoell@mac.com and we can share
information.

Regards,
Matthew Noell
