Dear Kathy Buss,
Yes, we are certainly cousins somewhow. I am a direct descendant of Thomas Phillips (died 1743 Craven Co.) and his son John (who lived in Craven and present Lenoir Counties). I think I am also descended from Mason Phillips, another of the sons of Thomas and Isabella.
Do you know where your two Thomas Phillips families lived?
Thanks for your reply, and I'll be very happy to hear more from you, because I'm sure we are related. Do you have dates or marriage dates on any of the people you mention?
All good wishes, Mary Jane Phillips-Matz
