Ward in Columbus Co. NC

I was searching the messages for a link to my ISAAC WARD and thought I would take a chance at seeing if anyone might have run across the Isaac Ward I am looking for.

A few details.....

Isaac Ward was born approx 1810-1816 and was thought to be born in NC per a census. However another document showed one instance of SC.

He married an Emily Unknown and they had a daughter Frances Emaline Ward born abt 1841 in Horry Co. SC.

Isaac's second marriage was to Charlotte Cook of SC and it is out of their line I am descended.

Isaac lived in Horry Co, SC bef 1841 to his death 1891-1901.

Isaac died after 1891 and probably in 1901. Details on him are sketchy from a deed signing in 1891 to his probably death year.

Family heresay has it that his father was possibly a James Ward and possibly in Columbus Co. NC. that James might have been a magistrate and was a landowner. One document listed a James Ward as Esq. and one of the two James Wards there were landowners.

However there was a Robert Ward in Columbus Co NC, who is signed witness on a pension application as a JP.

I have had an direct uncle named Robert Isaac Ward and another of my grandfathers brothers named William James Ward. So.... it stays confused.

I cant find much on him or where he came from. If you have anything at all, please let me know, or if you have suggestions, that would be appreciated also.

I reside in Az, so onsite research there is limited. If you know of an EXCELLENT genealogical researcher in the Columbus/Horry area, I would like to know how to contact them.

Thanks,

Harry Ward
