Allegood Williamson as born March 29, 1859, in Whiteville, Columbus County, NC, died May 22, 1917, Miami, Dade County, FL. He was buried in an unmarked grave in Bagdad Cemetery, Bagdad, Santa Rosa County, FL.

Allegood was the son of Joseph Wilbur Williamson, born 1829. Joseph died June 21, 1865, in Elmira Federal Military Prison and was buried in what is now the National Cemetery at Elmira, NY. Allegood's mother was Rematha Williamson (her maiden name; she and Joseph were 1st cousins). Rematha was born 1831, died June 2, 1906, and was buried in the Bullard Cemetery in Columus County. Rematha married 2nd Nathan Lewis Holmes Williamson, Joseph's brother. They had two children, for a total of five. NLHW was buried in Macedonia Baptist
Church Cemetery, Col. Co., NC.

Joseph and Rematha had three children. Pricilla, born August 1857 died aft 1900; Alegood; Council Holmes Williamson, born October 25, 1861, died February 14, 1936. Drat - I don't know where he was buried. Known as Count.

Allegood married Lena Gray Milner, March 17, 1890, in Fort Gaines, Clay County, GA. She was the daughter of Samuel Milner and Elizabeth Gray. Lena could neither read nor write, She always referred to Allegood as Mr. Williamson. They had 10 children. I have copies of their marriage license, wedding photo and his death certificate.
