Looking for marriage record of my John Jones who md a Mary (Moore?) ca 1806 in NC...probably Rutherford Co... an Edmond Jones (whom I believe to be his bro) md Susannah McKinney in Rutherford 17 Jan 1803...a John Jones was their BM...this John Jones whom I seek was b Va per later census records, md Mary who was b NC 1789...had sons named Edmond, Allen, Berryman among others...appears to be the John Jones living next to Sterling Jones 1810 Rutherford Co census...John Jones estate settlement papers in Cherokee Co Tx also mentioned an Elijah Jones as owing $214.17 cents to his estate...John Jones died 11 April 1857 in Cherokee Co Tx...I have vivited the Jones family cemetery on the old home place in there...the marker for John is professional marked and clearly shows birth as "February 28 1785"...access the Cherokee Co Tx Genweb site and tab on Jones Family Cemetery for more details on b/d dates for John and Mary Jones and some of their ch...any help with this family appreciated. Hard to nail down a Jones!

PS...John and Mary's 1st 5 children b NC per census records...family moved to Jackson Co Al ca 1820...then to Tx by 1851
