These men were from Cleveland County, NC. The name is Wortman or Workman. They have many descendents in Cleveland County. Their ancestor is Daniel Wortman who married Margaret Kernatzer (Cornatzer)and died in old Rutherford County, NC. Cleveland Co. was formed from parts of Rutherford and Lincoln counties in 1841.
