actively searching for info on or descendants of David D. and Simeon Wertman. All I have on these men at present is that they were both members of Company G of the 30th North Carolina Infantry during the War between the States. This company was formed in Granville County. The Granville County web site has given me the info that although the company was raised in Granville County, records show that these men were residents of Cleveland County. It seems they migrated quite a distance to enlist. Both men's enlistment dates are shown as Sept. 21, 1862. Records show that Simeon died of disease in November of the same year. Anyone with info on the families of these men can e-mail me direct or answer this query.
