Glenn, thought you may find this interesting...today, I bought some old letters at the flea market. One was was from a lady named MRS. WILBUR [ Lois ]CABINESS, from Shelby, written to a lady names Edith Maddox.
MRS. CABINESS, mentions she is fine, so are Douglas and Wilbur." I should be picking cotton but I wanted to write to you". She tells Edith, that a good husband is just about the greatest blessing and joy any woman could ask for, and Wilbur is so very good to her. She asked Edith when she was coming back home so I trust she was from there but had gone to Blacksburg, Va.
Hope you know these folks, it was written about Oct., 1946.
Best to you,
