Watson E. Lee/J.W. Blanton
Posted by: Justin Smith (ID *****7287) Date: November 22, 2003 at 12:29:30

My grandmother is a Blanton from Shelby, one of her sisters was the local artist, Correne Blanton Anthony from there as well, if thats a good reference point for anyone. Anyways, getting to my point, when my great aunt Alena Blanton passed away, she left me a letter that is framed and between glass from the Civil War that was written from Watson E. Lee to J.W. Blanton. J.W. Blanton, from what I understand, is my Great Great Great Great Grandfather, give or take a great. Watson E. Lee, I beleive, was his cousin and incidently was somehow related to Robert E. Lee. Aside from that, I really don't know very much about them. Can anyone fill me in on anything they may know?
